Infrastructure & Resources

The institute is situated at the prime location on Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg, Opposite to Commerce College of Rajasthan University. Located at a distance about a 7 Kms from the Sanaganer Airport, about 10 Kms from the main Jaipur Railway Station and hardly 2 Kms from Gandhi Nagar, Railway Station (Jaipur). Institute’s building has a Carpet area of around 1 Lacs Sq.Ft. and campus area of about 2.5 Lacs Sq.Ft. and has an impressive design of modern architecture with 4 storeys. The institute has following facilities:

• Well-furnished 3 Seminar/Conference Hall with 40/70/60 seating capacity equipped with Audio Visual Aids.

• Well-furnished Computer Lab of 30 nodes for Computer trainings.

• Air Conditioned Auditorium with a seating capacity of about 300 persons for holding important Seminars/Workshops.

• Video Conferencing facility with linkages to NIRD.

• The institute also has Two Hostel Blocks located in campus with an accommodation of around 100 persons stay in – 55 double-bedded rooms out of which five are VIP suites, a dining hall to seat 60 persons, with mess arrangement for good vegetarian food. Rooms are quite spacious, well configured and in most cases air conditioned. The institute's library has nearly 5000 books pertaining to the field of Panchayati-Raj and Rural Development sector.

• Uninterrupted power supply is maintained to conduct training programs in a hassle free manner.

The Institute boasts of a fully air-conditioned Library. The library, which is situated on the third floor of the main Building of the Institute, has some 5116 books on various subjects; however emphasis has been laid on subjects related to rural Development, Panchayati Raj system and rural technologies. The library also subscribes various magazines and news papers besides also subscribing to annual reports of related departments. Institute is also on the roll of NIRD, Hyderabad, SIRD's of states and other national level institutes working in the field of Rural Development for getting periodicals, Journals, important research papers etc.

Membership to the Library is available to the following:

• Officers and Faculty Members of the Institute

• All Staff members of the Institute

• Participants/Trainees can avail of the facilities for the period of their training

• Researchers on the subject of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj can also consult the library during the Library hours.

The institute has taken a good lead to strengthen the Office Automation. All Faculty members & Officials are provided with advance systems to pace up with the growing need of professional working. Staff members are equipped with equally smart machines to ensure smooth office functioning as well as quality training programs. Seminar Halls and Auditoriums are equipped with Laptops for uninterrupted presentations. Panchayat Training Centers are also computerized with Pentium machines.

The Institute is equipped with a modern computer laboratory consisting of 30 nodes for computer trainings and development of program materials. Systems contain Intel Core 2 duo configuration processor with TFT Digital Color Monitors TCO-03 certified having Windows 7 operating software and Norton Antivirus preloaded. Systems are compatible to support latest configuration advance software which is helpful in hosting all types of Computer trainings.

All systems have internet facility through BSNL-Broadband system. The lab is provided with multimedia Projector to support the quality trainings. Systems including laboratory are connected to Local Area Network which not only allows resource sharing but also ensures optimum utilization of available database. Systems are upgraded at regular intervals to pace up with the ongoing technical advancements.
