PTC Bikaner

Introduction

Panchayat Training Center, Bikaneris a divisional level training center located in district Bikaner. Bikaner Division comprises of four adjoining districts which are Anoopgarh, Hanumangarh, Sri GangaNagar and Bikaner itself. Panchayat Training Center, Bikaner is proudly entrusted to play pivotal role of capacity building of Panchayati Raj Institutions under Rural Development and Panchayati Raj department and several collective stake holder from other Line Departments in these districts of North Western Rajasthan.

It will not be an exaggeration to conclude that PTC, Bikaner has played phenomenal role since its inception in creating human resources, imparting valuable knowledge and understanding about the role of State Government and Central Government playing for the welfare of its people by and large. The huge workforce of people which has been trained and is needed to be trained too, comprises of all the Public Representatives at Zila Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and Gram Panchayat level, the collective staff and officers under Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Engineers, Accountants, Village Development Officers, Junior Assistants, Technical Assistants, NGOS, SHGs, Line Departments and various other stake-holders.

PTC Bikaner was established in year 2012. Since, then the Center has been conducting residential and non-residential Trainings successfully under RGSA and various other diverse subjects of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department and several other departments in 37 batches. The Center has successfully trained 3291 people till datewhich includes officers and employees of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Public Representatives, NGOs, women participants of SHG's etc. from rural areas.

Infrastructure Facilities

Panchayat Traing Center, Bikaner comprises of -

1- Administrative Building-The construction of Administrative Building was done under BADP scheme with the sum of 23 Lacs. It consist of 6 rooms and 1 meeting hall.

2- Residential Premises - It was constructed by RSRDC with the sum of 1.41 crores in the year of 2014 lt consist of -

(a) Ground floor - It accommodates kitchen with dining hall and 7 rooms.

(b) First Floor It consist of large furnished training hall and 6 rooms. The training hall is well equipped with Laptop/Projector, White-Board, Mic- Sound system etc.

The residential building has capacity to accommodate 110 participants/trainees. The Institute has all necessary arrangements of Beds. Beddings etc.
